Course Description
In Scratch Basics students learn how to code using Scratch, a block programming language developed specifically for kids by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Students will be introduced to Computer Science with activities that do not only focus on technical detail but on creative potential as well. Students will develop computational thinking skills by engaging in coding projects that are related to their interests and draw on their imagination.
In this course Students will:
Use Scratch to create animations, make music and tell stories.
Learn to debug computer programs
Use operators and variables to create games
